| Ms Hansen's mastery of graphite pencil produces dramatically realistic portraits of animals, people and nature. Contrast and textural variation captures the mood and personality of each portrait. Her style is detailed and demonstrates a confidence that comes only with mastery of the medium coupled with an intimate knowledge of her chosen subject matter: animals and nature. Using a limited palette produces both subtle and dramatic effects taking her process to its ultimate expression of interest and life. |
